Al Musadah Township Fund
Its that time of year again when we’re embarking on spiritual journeys as well as being aware of our obligations to humanity. A Ramadan drive is being held in Cape Town by Reidwhan Ganief and Yasmine Ganief, to help ease poverty in townships. Mosques and Madressas are at the focus of this drive providing fellow Muslim’s with food to break their fasts, and in some instances providing for Sehri if it is possible.
Food costs have escalated. The struggle to survive has become a serious problem for many Muslims, especially in the townships (both traditionally coloured and black townships). Muslim foreigners have also been at the forefront of concerns due to the recent Xenophobic attacks. Sehri and Iftaar (Boekah) will not be pleasant for many.
Make a contribution, and the duas of the hungry will aid in your spiritual upliftment, Insha-Allah.
“Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all.”
- [Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah]
