Ramadan 2009

Community Blog & Website

Wishing all our readers EID Mubarak

Assalamulaikum Brothers and sisters,

Once again another ramadan is coming to an end and with that we have the Joyous occasion of EID, however i am sure most of you will miss ramadan. The feeling most of us feel during this month does match any other month of the year. It is a feeling of joy, peace and tranquility.  I believe this is due to us making the effort for Salaah and fasting.

Insha-Allah, this will continue after Ramadan. This year there has been a ton of debate on this site, for example the issue about the ‘30 day muslim’. The way i see it, rather have the 30 day muslim than the no muslim at all, IA we will be guided.

During Ramadan in 2003, i kept a beard as was customary for me but usually when EID day came about the beard was shaved… for some reason on that year i did not shave, since then i have never been clean shaven (barring a few mishaps with the blade ;) . The point being, you never know when that 30 day muslim/muslimah may have a change of heart. Let this be the ramadan when we learn never to judge people on class, ideologies, race, pride (feeling we are better then anyone) but on their character alone.

I hope we have brought value to you this Ramadan, and we hope that you have enjoyed reading the articles. Also, please take the time to thank the bloggers and remember us in your duas. All the bloggers here put in their time and effort without asking for anything in return. Also thanks to Salam BC for sponsoring the hosting. IA we will see you again during Ramadan 2010.
